The remaining three films can be watched independently from the others.
Halloween (2007) This is the first of the Rob Zombie remakes. Although it shares a similar plot line from the original movie, it shifts the focus to Michael’s childhood murders. We also see his years of therapy with Dr. Loomis (Malcolm McDowell).
Halloween II (2009) This is set a year after the first Rob Zombie remake. It tries to flesh out the connection between Michael and Laurie. Laurie is dealing with the traumatic events of fighting off Michael from the previous movie. Michael is still alive and begins to have visions of his mother instructing him to reunite with Laurie.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) This one steers completely away from the Halloween franchise. It is a failed attempt at creating a Halloween anthology series. With not even having Michael Myers involved, you can treat it like a completely different movie from the previous films.
