On this episode both Bill and Pattie rave about the first episode of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. The full series premiers on NBC on Sunday, February 16th at 9/8 central. If you miss Crazy Ex-Girlfriend you'll love Zoey with her musical numbers, and the deep heartfelt messages. Stars: Jane Levy, Peter Gallagher, Mary Steenburgen, and Lauren Graham. The first episode can be seen on Hulu or NBC.
Bill is going to give Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector a try for a few more episodes. This is airs Friday's at 8/7 central on NBC. You can also watch on Hulu. Russell Hornsby stars as Lincoln Rhyme a retired NYPD detective and forensic genius who gets pulled back in to the hunt for the serial killer known as The Bone Collector. Based on the best selling book and movie by the same name. Pattie is over police procedural shows and has zero interest in seeing any more of this one.
The Messiah on Netflix is the final individual show Pattie and Bill discuss. Pattie binged the whole series and loved it. She thinks it has that same feel as Homeland from Showtime did, in which every episode is so packed with action and information that it feels like you've seen the whole series but it's been only one episode. Bill felt completely the opposite after watching only the first episode, but based on Pattie's recommendation, he's willing to give it a chance and watch a few more episodes. The entire series is available now on Netflix and stars Mehdi Dehbi as Al-Masih, Michelle Monaghan as CIA case officer, Eva Geller, and Tomer Sisley as Aviram Dahan.
Available now on Netflix
The Two Popes - starring Anthony Hopkins and Johnathan Pryce as Pope Benedict and Pope Francis. About the change in power as Pope Benedict stepped down and Pope Francis took over. It recounts both men's history as they sit and have a talk about the future of the Catholic church.
Virgin River - A dramedy about big city nurse who sells off all her possessions and moves to a quirky remote northern California town to take a job with the only doctor in town. Obviously he's a gruff "my way or the highway" kind of guy. Think "Northern Exposure" but as a Harlequin romance novel.
Spinning Out - If you like figure skating and teen dramas this is for you. A former skating prodigy suffers a head injury and must now decide to skate with a partner or do something else completely. Lots of love interests, but also hits on both physical and mental pain. Not for younger viewers.

Sex Explained - Vox Docuseries narrated by Janelle Monae. Explains in great detail what the titles says. From fantasies to fertility science, and even an episode comparing the journey of a sperm to the 1986 film, Labyrinth.
