Democratic debate is Thursday Dec 19th at 9 pm Eastern (8 central, 7 mountain and 6 pacific) on your local PBS station. It'll run from 9pm until about 11pm eastern
Yeah sure we should be paying attention but damn... with all the shit going on right now in US politics, with the impeachment and the 800 candidates for the Democrats where not all are on the debate stage anyway and if they were they'd each get like 10 seconds to speak so what's the point.
I'd much prefer to end my year on a more hopeful note and watch something far more entertaining. So Bill and I have both drawn up lists of something, ANYTHING else to watch that evening.
Food Related shows
ABC - The Great American Baking Show - Just like the Great British Baking show, but they've brought Americans to England to compete.
Food Network also has a baking competition - Santa's Baking Blizzard. Back to back episodes followed at 9pm central by Christmas Cookie Challenge and then at 10pm Holiday Gingerbread Showdown.

History - Forged in Fire 12 cuts of Christmas from 7pm to 11pm central
Bravo - back to back episodes of Project Runway
(not sure if this is any better than the debate but NBC has the Miss America Pageant)
CBS starting at 9pm Central you can watch Evil. I think it's a re-run but it's still a damn good show.
NBC Sports Net has Hockey - The NY Islanders at Boston Bruins
FX has a new Christmas Carol with Guy Pearce as Scrooge This runs from 6:30pm to 9:45 Central
